Obituary for Glynn Edward Mareth

Glynn Edward Mareth, 63 of Adkins, Texas, peacefully transferred his CDL to the commercial driver’s license office in the sky on Feb. 01, 2022, after giving COVID-19 a hard battle. He was born on Nov. 12, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas, to Clarence and Marilyn Mareth.

Glynn graduated from East Central High School in 1977. He spent his high school summers working at Creative Cabinets and upon graduating went to work with his father in the family business moving and setting up mobile homes. Glynn began working for Lubianski Grain Company in 1982 driving truck which he enjoyed doing until he left in 1994 to take over the family business, Clarence’s Mobile Home Service. Glynn was a well-respected man in the mobile home business and could park a mobile home anywhere. He was a kind man and ready to help in any way he could.

Glynn enjoyed fishing with his friends and in 1993 became a member of San Antonio Bass Club where he enjoyed fishing with his wife in club fishing. For many years Glynn was an active member and volunteer for San Antonio Metropolitan League of Bass Clubs. He also enjoyed camping and taking the RV to the coast and hanging out, relaxing, and taking family vacations. He loved boating, NHRA drag races, dirt track races, working on small engines, and building things. Glynn could build anything; he was a man of many skills. He also loved watching his granddaughters play softball for La Vernia Little League and volunteered to help coach the team. He loved spending time with family and friends and teasing his grandkids.

He is proceeded in death by his father, Clarence Mareth (Jan. 11, 2022). He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Mareth; wife, Brenda Mareth; children, Shauna Jenschke (Jeremy), Bobby Blankenship Jr (Jeannie), and Suzanne Blankenship; grandchildren, Shylee Baertich, Shaye Tabor, Peyton Tabor, Charlee Jenschke, Cheyenne Blankenship, Bobby Blankenship III, Allison Blankenship, Kaylor Ellis, Colton Ellis, Kayelynn Truesdell, Kelsey Truesdell , and Brodie Vasbinder; great-grandchildren, Dehlani Garza and Bobby Blankenship IV.
