Geoffrey Hunter Kowalik, known as Hunter by all who loved him, went home to be with Jesus on September 12, 2022, at the young age of 20. Hunter leaves behind many heartbroken family members including parents Geoff and Liz Kowalik; sisters, Brody Leigh and Hadley Grace; brother, Levi Shayde; great grandmother, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, and countless dear friends.
Hunter was born on July 27, 2002, in San Antonio, TX to Geoffrey Harold and Elizabeth Ann (Paschal) Kowalik. At a young age, Hunter and his family moved to a small farm in Stockdale, TX which quickly became his true home. Hunter enjoyed the outdoors whether it be gardening with his family, tending his garden, hunting with family or friends, nurturing and tending to both his and his family’s livestock, spending time at the lake with family, or simply taking in the beauty of God’s handiwork.
He spent numerous years participating in 4-H with the Stockdale 4-H Club and enjoyed many happy years with the Wilson 4-H Shooting Club where he gained much confidence. Hunter sought to include others and rarely met a stranger. He was always eager and willing to help anyone at any time. He absolutely loved to make people smile, had the gift of putting those around him at ease and you could not help but have a good time when he was around. From toddlerhood on he liked to work with his hands and enjoyed seeing the results of his efforts either building something, working on vehicles with his dad, learning to weld, operating equipment, or just figuring out how something works. He had a brilliant mind that was always hungry to learn.
Hunter was a history-loving, homeschool graduate that was a voracious reader. He was always excited to share his knowledge with others. He cherished his time spent studying with his Bible study group. Hunter was a dedicated, hard-working young man in all he did and was treated like family by his current employer Pruski’s in Kosciusko, TX. Hunter is most remembered by all as a truly genuine and compassionate person. He is deeply loved, sorely missed, and leaves a huge void for those he left behind.
