Annie Gay “Nana” Basham, beloved, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt slipped peacefully into eternal rest on November 24, 2020. Gay was born November 24, 1941 to Raymond and Lorene Jones (Neatherlin) in Del Rio, Texas.
Gay is preceded in death by her parents; son, Danny Barnett; father of her children, Lonnie Barnett; siblings, Grace Moses, Ike Jones, Lola Baughman, Troy Don Jones, Donna Kappelmann, Alma Douglas, Dolly Hamilton, and Lonnie Jones. She is survived by her children, Carol Ellis and husband Roger, Robert Barnett and wife MJ; grandchildren, Melinda Mason, Amanda Leifeste and husband Justin; great-grandchildren, Anna Mason, Emily Mason, Gracyn Barnett, Thomas Ellis, James Leifeste; siblings, Bud Jones, Betty Casey, Lois Lang, Ben Jones, Bob Jones, Judy Stevenson, Liz Glass, Louis Jones; numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
A visitation will take place from 9:00 – 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Finch Funeral Chapel, La Vernia.
