Florine (Palmero) Benson, born July 17th, 1923 in Seguin, Texas died at age 92 on March 6th, 2016 in Beeville, Texas. Being a descendant of early Texas pioneers, Ms. Benson was a long-time member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas (DRT). She is preceded in death by her husband James (Jim) Benson, son James Albert Benson, Jr. and survived by three sons, Robert Benson, John Benson and Mark Benson as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all.
Burial services will be held at the Dewville, Texas Cemetery on Thursday, March 10th, 2016. Guests will be welcomed at 11:00 with the service at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the DRT or the hospice of your choice.
