Obituary for Evelyn Gayle Glasco (Stoever)
On February 6, 2023, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Evelyn Gayle Glasco, was called home to Heaven. Evelyn was born on April 23, 1947 in Yorktown, Texas to Herman E. Stoever and Elise (Dueser) Stoever who precede her in death along with her husband, William Earl Glasco; brothers, Bennie Stoever, and Calton Stoever; sisters, Joyce Ritz, and Dora Mae Raven.
Evelyn will be dearly missed by her daughter, Terry Suire; sons, William Earl Glasco, Jr. and Richard Steven Glasco; grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie, William Earl III, Derrick, Aaron, Brittnie, Katrina, Crystal, James, and Tamra; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members. Evelyn will also be missed by many friends as she was very social and enjoyed playing games and volunteering in her community of Smiley, Texas. She loved Elvis, the Spurs, and the Dallas Cowboys. Evelyn embodied grace, joy, and love. Her faith was an inspiration and never wavered. She never met a stranger and kept everyone laughing.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, 1:00pm, at Smiley United Methodist Church in Smiley, Texas.
