Obituary for Estella C. Garcia (Cortinez)
Estella C. Garcia, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt slipped peacefully into the hands of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 7, 2021. Born on December 26, 1947, to Santos and Cecilia (Abrego) Cortinez, in Hondo, Texas. We were blessed with her love and faith during her 73 years of a life.
Estella took great pride in being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and baking but especially spending quality time with her very large, loving family.
She is survived by her loving husband of more than 57 years, Carlos Garcia, Jr.; their children, Carlos Garcia III (Nancy L.), Alfonso Garcia (Deanna), Angelica Garza (Ernest Jr.), Mario Garcia (Rachel); grandchildren, Dr. Leslie Frenzel, (Dr. Mark Frenzel), Carlos Garcia IV, Dr. Josh Garcia (Dr. Jena Garcia), Bryan Michael Cellmer Garcia, Kallie Cecilia Garcia, Abigail Garcia MacCoy (John Russell), Isabelle Rose Garcia, Gabriel Charles Garcia, Arabella Baigh Garza, Natalijah Monahan (Kyle), Mario Garcia, Jr. (Kaitlyn), Jessica Lenore Garcia, Samuel Jose Garcia; great-grandchildren, Laurel Adalae Frenzel, Grant Matthews Frenzel, Audrey Kate Frenzel, Everleigh Gale Monahan; siblings, Maria Luisa Garcia (Roberto), Ida Gauna, Roy Cortinez, Elsa Campos, Santos Cortinez, Jr. (Hilda), Rudy Cortinez, Johnny Cortinez (Anita), Cindy Cortinez, Hope Schlentz
Estella is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sofia Correa; brothers, David Cortinez and Robert Cortinez; great-grandson, Kyle Jarrett Monahan.
There will be a visitation held at Finch Funeral Chapel, La Vernia on Sunday, July 11, 2021, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM with prayer service lead by Reverend Alfonso Garcia, beginning at 6:00 PM.
