On June 9, 2021, Edna Ruth (McKinney) Shipman went to be with the Lord. Edna was born on February 2, 1941, in Nixon, Texas to Milton Homer McKinney and Myrtle Hattie (Gordon) McKinney.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Danna Sikora (Mike); grandchildren, Jaimie Keslar (Tyler), Kaela Bollom, Amelia Sikora, and Andrea Sikora; great-grandchildren, Addison, Evie, Ryder, Abby, Gauge, Arden, Dawson, Lennon, and Aurora; brothers, William McKinney (Joyce), Fred McKinney (Faye); sisters, Sue Brooks, and Jimmie Gordon; close cousin, Geraldine Machicek; best friend, Maxine Fregia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and many friends.
Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Shipman; parents, Milton, and Myrtle McKinney; son, Mike Shipman; grandson, Jason Shipman; brothers, Curt, John, Marlin, and Sonny McKinney; and sister, Mattie Lou Croft.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, 5:00pm-7:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, 10:00am at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas. Burial will follow at Nixon Cemetery. The Reverend Michael Cowey will officiate.
