Obituary for Doris Wehmeyer

Doris Treybig Wehmeyer went to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the age of 95, in Floresville, Texas. Doris was born in Gillett, Texas on April 2, 1927, to Albert and Meta (Leubert) Treybig.
Doris was baptized on June 19, 1927. She was a lifelong Lutheran, and a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church of Denhawken for 76 years. She grew up on a ranch in Gillett and graduated from Karnes City High School. On August 24, 1946, Doris married Raymond Wehmeyer. They lived on the family homeplace in Denhawken where they raised their four children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond in 1988; her parents; her brother, Alfred Treybig; and sister, Geneva Smedley. Doris is survived by her children, Jim (Janie), Margaret Merritt (Kenneth), David (Vicki), and John (fiancé, Vicki); grandchildren, Cheryl Merritt, Kristi Wehmeyer Talley (Toby), Whitney Wehmeyer Lambeck (Spenser), Katrina Wehmeyer (Fiancé, Bubba Stehling), Will Wehmeyer (Fiancé, Hailey Vogel); great-grandchildren, Tinsley Talley, Ace Talley, Tildyn Talley, Paxton Lambeck, and Sutton Rose Stehling; as well as numerous other family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 2:00pm followed by her funeral service at 3:00pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Denhawken. Interment will follow in Denhawken Cemetery. Dr. Norman Beck will officiate the services.
