Don Wayne Voyles was called to his heavenly home on December 22, 2022, at the age of 74. Don was born in Big Spring, Texas to Rex Voyles and Johnnie (Landry) Voyles on January 1, 1948. He met and married the love of his life, Veda Bynum on June 2, 1972.

Don was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to all. He faithfully served the Lord and was a great example by living out his Christian faith daily. He considered it an honor to share his faith with others and was blessed to treat others to the Walk to Emmaus retreat when he could.
Don grew up in New Deal, Texas and was very proud of the fact that he was able to raise his children in the same community that he loved. He was a lifelong devoted fan of the New Deal football team, and he could be found in the stands most Friday nights during the season cheering his team on. He was even honored as one of their #1 fans with a quilt from the community which he was very proud to receive.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Veda; two sons, Steven Boyd and wife Shelly, Shayne Boyd and wife Lisa; one daughter, Donice Henderson and husband Ben; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; mother, Johnnie Voyles; sister, Vicki Weaver; numerous other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father Rex Voyles, and brother, Gary Layne Voyles.

There will be a visitation Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Floresville.
