Obituary for Dirk Wynne
Dirk Ray Wynne of Nixon, passed away on October 22nd, 2021, at the age of 52 in the comfort of his family.
Dirk was born in Galveston County, on May 2nd, 1969, to Sidney and Virginia Wynne. He was a graduate of Nixon- Smiley High School and worked as a lead service tech. On January 6th, 1996, he married the love of his life, Ashley. On July 7th, 1999, and March 5th, 2008 respectively, he welcomed his two beautiful sons, who were the most important part of his life.
Dirk is survived by his father, Sidney Wynne; wife, Ashley Wynne; Sons, Seth Ray Wynne (Amanda) and Jax Trip Wynne; sister, Kim Pruski (Frank), brothers-in-law, Barry Moy (Dawn) and Jack Douglas Pope; nieces and nephews, Nathan Pruski (Julie), Krista Gorzell (Matt), Craig Pruski (Whitney), Cullen Pruski (Jaycie), Megan Moy, Madison Pope, and Ainsley Pope; and many cousins, friends, and great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and mother, Virginia Wynne.
Dirk was a devoted father and husband. He was an established roper where he made many life-long friends. Dirk also had a passion for hunting and fishing. He loved sharing his hobbies with his family and friends. He was an active member of his community and would offer a helping hand to all those around him.
He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. A graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to God’s Store House at First United Methodist Church.
