Carl Frederick Mitchum, age 89, passed away at his home in La Vernia, Texas on Sunday, August 15, 2021. Carl was born June 15, 1932 in Los Angeles, California, to Carl and Helen (Kravitz) Mitchum.
Carl was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved spending time outdoors and especially in the mountains. He loved spending time and enjoying meals with his great friends and will be dearly missed by them and his beloved dog.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents and his very loved dog and hunting buddy “Rex”. He is survived by his son, Jeff Mitchum of San Diego, California, and his grandchildren, Luke and Michaela Mitchum; many dear friends and his loving dog Sam.
