Obituary for Bruce Horton
Bruce Allen Horton entered eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on October 19, 2022, at the age of 76. He was born on September 12, 1946, in Crystal City, Texas to Alvis and Dorothy (Bilderback) Horton.
Bruce had a huge personality and loved spending time with his family any chance he got. He was the life of the party wherever he went and will be remembered for his jokes and pranks that were passed on to his kids and grandkids.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Horton. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda (Sample) Horton; children, Michael Horton and wife (Dorothy), Brant Horton and wife Valene, Aaron Bruce Horton, Jr. and wife Brea, Misty Horton; grandchildren, Devon, Matt, Nicky, Tiffini, Christian, Daniel, Natasha, Jacob, Tyler, Kylie, Kayden, Scott, Hannah, Tim, Kashley, Meagan, Mackenzie, Emma, Jack, Kimberly, Sebastian; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Harper, Allen, Brendan, Liam, Easton, Juliette, Paisley; sister, Avis Horton; numerous other loving family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, 2:00 PM, November 19, 2022, at First Baptist Church, 706 W. Houston, Carrizo Springs, Texas 78834
Doug Sample will officiate the services with inurnment and military honors to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 9th Street, Carrizo Springs, Texas 78834.
