Betty J. “Jeanie” Mercier, age 77, of Nixon, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at her home in Nixon. She was born September 25, 1941 to Mervin C. and Mayme K. (Piland) Pruett. Her parents and husband, William “Bill” Wayne Mercier, precede her in death. Jeanie is survived by her sons: Gary Mercier and wife, Gretchen, of Austin; Vic Mercier and companion, Gay Bruns, of Victoria; grandchildren: Tayler Mercier, Jennifer O'Neal and husband Denver, Aubrey Mercier, Joey Bruns, Amy Thompson and husband, Ashton; great-grandchildren: Henry Wayne O'Neal, Kadence Thompson and Harrison O'Neal; sister, Dolores Witten; life partner, Jackie Dunn; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Jeanie will be missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon.
