Betty (Sumner) Kosub, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, entered eternal rest on January 6, 2016 at the age of 79, in San Antonio, Texas. Betty was born on November 15, 1936 in Elmendorf, Texas to John Wesley and Ida Carolina (Robertson) Sumner. Betty was married to her sweetheart Johnny Kosub for 58 years. She is preceded in death by her daughters, Barbara Dirks and Darlene Kosub; her parents; sisters, Rose Lee Mitchell and Ida (Dolly) Sumner; and brother, Joe Keller. She is loved dearly and will be missed by her husband Johnny; daughters, Judy (Kosub) Swientek and husband Alex, Kristy Kosub-Winkler; grandchildren, Nathan and Jennifer Dirks, Aaron and Tara Dirks, Brian and Chrystal Dirks, Tim and Corinne Swientek, Klarissa and James Coyle, Michaela Winkler and Kourtney Winkler; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Dockal; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, from 5:00pm-8:00pm, with Rosary at 6:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas.
