On April 4, 2020 Belen S. Martinez passed away in Seguin, Texas at the age of 94. Belen was born on June 1, 1925 to Fermin Watt Sainz and Juanita (Gonzales) Sainz. She married Juan M. Martinez on May 19, 1945 in Stockdale, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, John Martinez Jr. Belen is survived by her children, Beida Aguirre (Joe) and Rudy S. Martinez (Dora); grandchildren, Jeffery Martinez (Julie), Yvonne Esperza, Jerry Don Aguirre (Shannon), Beijo Rice (Alex), Kimberly Escobedo (J.J.), and Kenneth Martinez; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Maria S. Loya; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and many friends. In light of the current restrictions, the family will be holding a private graveside service.
