Obituary for Barbara "Susie" Hamilton (Crow)
Barbara "Susie" Hamilton, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 27, 2021 at the age of 84. Barbara was born on August 27, 1936 to Isaac and Eva Crow (Camp) in San Antonio, Texas.
Barbara's first commitment was always to her husband of over 65 years, Frank Ray Hamilton, their children, and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was employed with civil service in her early years and then retired from the United States Postal Service after more than 20 years. After retirement she had more time to enjoy her hobbies which included gardening, sewing, cooking for her family and one of her biggest enjoyments which was watching Professional Bull Riding. Her children always knew she would love her gift of tickets to the PRCA in Las Vegas every year.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Fay Ward and brother, Verlon Crow.
Barbara is survived by and will be missed by her husband, Ray Hamilton; children, Julie Schmidt (Joey), Nancy Schneider (Randy), and Glenn Hamilton (Tricia); sister, Eva "Jean" Mattingly; grandchildren, Amber Bridges (Rob), Jennifer Polasek (Zeb), Nicole Bauer (Joseph), Chris Schmidt (Sarah), Nathan Schmidt (Heather), Krista Schultze (Kyle), Kerri Mikulik (Cole), Kasey Schneider (Ashley), Travis Hamilton, Taylor Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Jonathan and Jacob Bridges, Peyton Polasek, Joseph III, Brodie and Tinley Bauer, Zoey Schmidt, Jake and Alexis Schultze, Whitney, Makenzie and Luke Mikulik; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation with family and friends will take place from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Finch Funeral Chapel, La Vernia, Texas.
