Obituary for Auvye Ray Trammell

On April 10, 2022, Auvye Ray Trammell of Nixon, Texas passed away suddenly leaving an entire community in mourning. Auvye was born on April 23, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas to Auvye Spear Trammell Jr., and Margaret Nell Pullin Trammell. Auvye grew up in the Nixon community, served on the City Council, and never met a stranger. Many friends and family will tell you of his generosity toward anyone in need. He is preceded in death by his father; niece, Audrie “Nikki” Trammell DuBose; and Mr. Terrell W. Littleton.

Auvye will be dearly missed by his mother, Margaret Nell Wallace (Johnny); brothers, Audie Trammell (Teresa), Scott Trammell, Slade Trammell (Shelly), and Auvye Burch; sister, Donna Parker (Paul); friend, Pam Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and community friends.

The family will be accepting visitors at First United Methodist Church in Nixon from 2:00pm-3:00pm on Thursday, April 14, 2022. The funeral service will follow at 3:00pm. Burial will be at Nixon Cemetery. Reverend Michael Cowey and Reverend Audrey Hewell will officiate the services.
