Obituary for Andrew "Buddy" Lakey
Andrew “Buddy” Lakey, 91, of Dewville, Texas passed away on June 29, 2022 in Seguin, Texas. Buddy was born on October 26, 1930 in Dewville to Andrew George Lakey and Ruby Olivia (Hester) Lakey who precede him in death along with his wife of 66 years, Ella M. (Ivey) Lakey; daughter, Brenda Sue Lakey; brother, Bobby Lakey; and sisters, Doris Spahn, Lee Birdwell, and Edna Ronshausen.
Buddy is survived by his sons, Tod Lakey, and James Lakey and wife Sissy; daughter, Donna (Lakey) Kothmann and husband Alan; grandsons, Corey Lakey and Cody Lakey; granddaughters, Jayme Helms, Brandie Hayes, Kayla Morgan, and Amber Scarbrough; numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, 1:00pm-2:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon, Texas, followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00pm. There will then be a procession to Dewville Cemetery for the Committal Service. Reverend Michael Cowey will officiate the services.
