Obituary for Alice M. Lubianski (Doege)

Alice (Doege) Lubianski entered eternal rest on November 5, 2022, at the age of 85. She was born on December 14, 1936, in LaVernia, TX to Richard and Margaret (Gantz) Doege. She met the love of her life August at Lubianski Dance Hall and they married on June 1, 1957. August and Alice had an amazing life together raising a family of 5 children, building a business and supporting their community all with love.

Alice blessed the lives of all who knew her and never met a stranger. She served the St. Hedwig Church community on the Rosary Society. For over 60 years, Alice worked the family business Feed Store and Dance Hall charming her customers with a warm smile and a funny comment to fill the place with laughter. She enjoyed hosting Rummage Sales, traveling with her husband, cooking for her large family and embroidery. Most of all, Alice had an abundance of love for her family, her friends and her customers.

Those who have passed to greet Alice at heaven’s gates were her loving husband of 43 years, August Valentine Lubianski, Jr.; parents, Richard and Margaret Doege; great-grandson, Augie; brothers, Joe, Felix, Eddie, Alfred, Adolph, and Herman; and sisters, Adeline and Lucy.

Left to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy are her children, Kevin Lubianski and wife Marcy, Tammy Friske and husband Chuck, Renee Amend and husband Matt, Craig Lubianski and wife Sherri, and Todd Lubianski and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Derik, Dustin, Drew, Brandon, Dayna, Sarah, Andrew, Jacob, Lauren, Lindsey, Corbin, Chase, Taylor, Parker, and Keegan; step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Samantha, and Cris; 13 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Jerry Lubianski and wife Leatrice; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the ICU staff at Guadalupe Regional Hospital, nurses at DaVita Dialysis Clinic and her care givers, Brenda and Mary Lou, for all their help and loving support.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Finch Funeral Chapel- La Vernia and the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at the funeral home.
