Alexander Jerome “A. J.” Moczygemba, 90, of Yorktown, passed away June 19, 2019. He was born March 27, 1929, in Falls City to the late Louis and Julia Kotara Moczygemba.

A.J. is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 53 years, Bertha Kozielski Moczygemba; sister, Lorraine Moczygemba; brothers, Thomas, Ignatz “I. J.”, Prosper, and Zafirin Moczygemba.

He is survived by his children, David Moczygemba and Joyce Marie Schellpepper; grandchildren, Bridget Hairell, Susan Hoelscher and Bonnie German; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Theresa Zaiontz and Annie Krawietz; daughter-in-law, Shirley Moczygemba; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 7:00pm, Friday, June 21, 2019, at Finch Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Roger Hawes officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
