Alex Saldaña Lopez, age 50, of Houston, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 in Houston. Alex was born in Floresville on September 15, 1968 to Manuel Guajardo Lopez and Bertha Saldaña Vallejo. Alex was a plumber by trade. He was a very loving and caring individual; he willingly accepted constructive criticism and never held a grudge against anyone. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to Rock and Roll and just relaxing and lounging around. His parents and brother, Lupe Lopez, precede him in death. Alex is survived by his sons, Arturo Manuel Lopez and Alex Lopez, Jr.; sisters and brothers, Nancy L. Lopez, Frank S. Lopez, Polly Saldaña Lopez, Jose G. Vallejo Jr., Bertha Saldaña Wright, Jesus Saldaña Vallejo, Rachel Saldaña Vallejo and Yolanda Saldaña Adams; numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and many friends. “Rest in peace Beanhead!”
A visitation will be held Monday, May 6, 2019 from 1pm to 2pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon.

Pastor Lamar Amaya will officiate at the service. Interment will follow in the Nixon Latin American Cemetery. If desired, donations may be given to Alex’s brother, Mr. Jose G. Vallejo Jr., or his sister, Bertha Saldaña Wright, to help with funeral expenses.
