Obituary for Albina Capps (Horky)

Albina (Horky) Capps, age 85, formerly of Beeville, passed away April 22, 2016. Albina was born September 10, 1930 in Sweet Home to Charlie Emil and Hermina (Targac) Horky. She married Ben Capps Feb. 26, 1949 in Mission. Albina is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ben Linley Capps and granddaughter, Laura Capps Latham. She is survived by her sons, Larry Capps & wife Lynn of Copperas Cove, Johnny Capps & wife Pam of Cameron, and Mike Capps & wife Diane of La Vernia; daughters, Shirley Dixon & husband Steve of Beeville, Joan Chesshir of Beeville, Teresa Wright & husband Jimmy of Stockdale and Lisa Capps of Stockdale; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. A visitation will take place Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 4:30pm to 7pm with a Rosary Vigil recited at 7pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, La Vernia.

Father Dennis Jarzombek will be officiating. Interment will follow at 2pm at St. Joseph Cemetery in Beeville. Pallbearers will be Michael Joseph Capps, Jake Dixon, Josh Dixon, Ben Hester, Lance Wright, Lucas Wright and Lyle Wright. Honorary pallbearers include Steve Dixon, Jack Freiley, Michael Latham, Bill Miller, Andrey Ostrovskiy, Alan Patterson, Jimmy Wright, Phil Wright, Joe Gary Wright, Shawn Raleigh, Bobby Tomek and Gary Rose. Memorial contributions may be made in Albina’s name to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, P.O. Box 535, Stockdale, TX 78160.
