Theresa M. FitzSimon, dear mother, sister, friend passed away June 23, 2016 at the age of 86 at home with family. Theresa was born on February 17, 1930 in Yorktown, Texas to Steve R. Dlugosch and Sallie B. (Migura) Dlugosch. On February 8, 1958, she married Donald E. J. FitzSimon in San Antonio, Texas. Theresa was an active member of St. Benedict Catholic Church since 1963, and was a Charter member of the USAA Federal Credit Union. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, nephew Wilbert C. Dennis, and grandson Matthew D. Williams. She will be forever loved and missed by her children, Stephen P. FitzSimon and wife Nancy, Dr. Denise I. FitzSimon-Hawkes and husband Howard, and Laurence E. FitzSimon and wife Stacia; grandchildren, Mary K. FitzSimon Grigar and husband Stephen, Stephen R. FitzSimon, Laura L. FitzSimon, Dr. Charlie B. Williams and wife Katherine, Patrick D. Williams, Megan E. FitzSimon Green and husband Cody, and Eric D. FitzSimon; great-grandchildren, Charlie Williams, Katherine Williams, Caden Green, and Caleb Green; sister Irene Sallie Blanchette. The family would like to extend gratitude to Father Bill Zadora of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, St. Hedwig, and in loving memory and thanksgiving for Father Eddie Bernal, for his spiritual guidance and pastoral ministry at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. They would also like to thank the St. Benedict’s Eucharistic Ministers; the caregivers of Sisters Care at The Village; and nurses and staff of River City Hospice. The Rosary will be recited on Saturday, July 2, 2016, 11:00am at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, Texas followed by a memorial Mass.
