Cliff Recker
Clifton S. “Cliff” Recker, Jr., born June 2, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to Clifton S. Recker, Sr., and Agnes E. [Tudyk] Recker died peacefully at home on April 4th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Cliff is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Glenda J. Recker; children, June Michelle Recker Johnson (Colby), Brett Steven Recker (Kathy), Monelle Kathryn Recker Trammell (Leonard), and Brent Clifton Recker (Dianell). He also leaves behind 9+ grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren who loved him very much. Clifton served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service, Cliff worked as long-haul truck driver. In 1958, he opened his own business, now known as TRIPLE R DC EXPERTS on Rigsby Avenue. Cliff was a LIFE member of SALE; a member of the American Legion and VFW; past President of the La Vernia Lions Club; life-long member of Hermann Sons, and a Republican candidate for County Commissioner Precinct 3 in 1988. Cliff loved his home life, gardening, spending time with family, and bowling where he met many of long-time friends. The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses, and hospice personnel for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.
