I met Miss Betty Ann Baxley in 1st Grade at Holy Name School. She was the Angel Princess in the Christmas Play and has played that role in my mind her entire wonderful life. Betty taught me how to ride a horse, shoot a gun and of course a thing or two about the art of shopping which was our favorite thing to do beginning at a very young age - and anyone who knew Betty was well aware how good she was for the economy! Betty and I were among the first visitors to DisneyWorld when it opened thanks to her Aunt Charlene living in Florida. One thing about Betty was even if she wasn't having a great day she would always take the time to talk to you on the phone - I swear sometimes Kurt would ask her 4 or 5 times: Are ya'll STILL talking? Betty's voice lit up when she spoke about her grandkids. I was so proud of Betty when she qualified for the Palomino Patrol - I was the loud one in the stands at the Rodeo cheering her on. More recently, we shared Cancer stories with a Scarlett O'Hara attitude that we would worry about it tomorrow! I will miss her so very much and I would like to thank Kurt for sharing an amazing life with her, Megan for being the light of her life, Annette for being her best friend and Dorothy & Charlie for everything else that made Betty who she was. Love You Betty Ann!
