Luis D. Martinez, age 95, formerly of Leesville, TX passed away October 20, 2017 in Seguin, TX. Luis was born July 23, 1922 in Christine, TX to Antonio and Elisa (DeLeon) Martinez. His wife, Trinidad (Gomez) Martinez; parents; sons, Luis, Severiano, Juan and Ramon Martinez; daughter, Elisa Martinez; brothers, Roger and Jesse; sisters, Susie, Lupe, Tomasa, Lilly and Consuelo precede him in death. Luis is survived by his daughters, Soila Heim (Tom), Cathy Vasquez (Noe) and Mary Dominguez (Rick); sons, Manuel Martinez, Florentino Martinez (Carmen); Ernesto Martinez (LaVonne), Daniel Martinez (Lucia), Steven Martinez (Elena) and Rolando Martinez (Rosie); 35 grandchildren; brothers, George, Rudy and Ralph; Sister, Leonor; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. A visitation will take place Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm with a Rosary Vigil recited at 6:30pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon.

St. Joseph’s Catholic Church

Father Kuriakose Ouseph will officiate at the mass. Interment will follow in the Nixon Latin American Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Luis’s name to the charity of one’s choice.
