Obituary for Enreqire Cantu Garcia

Henry Cantu Garcia, age 71, of Nixon, Texas passed away Friday, July 28, 2017 at his home in Nixon, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kenedy, Texas on August 9, 1945, he was the son of Rufino and Sebera (Cantu) Garcia.

Henry was a graduate of Kenedy High School and proudly served his country as an airman in the United States Air Force. Later, he retired from Central Power and Light. Henry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Nixon and the VFW He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Henry will always be remembered for his generosity, his sense of humor and his love for his grandkids.

His parents and brother, Armando Garcia, precede him in death.

Henry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Louise Garcia; children, Stella Wolf and her husband Wesley and Anthony Lee Garcia and his wife Katherine Elizabeth; daughter-in-law, Veronica Renee Garcia; grandchildren, Laura, Nickolas, Justin, Brandon, Julianna, Elizabeth and Alexander; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, David Garcia (Connie), Daniel Garcia (Jenny) and Rene Garcia (Melissa); sisters, Margie Zacher and Linda Garcia (Luis); numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family.

A visitation will take place Thursday, August 3, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary Vigil recited at 6:30pm at Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon.

FUNERAL MASS
Friday, August 4, 2017
10:00am
St. Joseph Catholic Church
Nixon, Texas

Father Kuriakose Ouseph will officiate at the Mass. Interment with military honors will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Nixon, Texas. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Henry’s name by way of mass intentions.
