Clydell Margaret (Engelhardt) Witte, 96, of La Vernia, Texas went to be with her heavenly father on Sunday, June 25, 2017. Clydell was born on June 18, 1921 in Barbarossa, Texas to William Engelhardt and Margaret Rauch Engelhart. On March 12, 1961 Clydell married Melvin C. Witte at Immanuel Lutheran Church in La Vernia. She is preceded in death by her husband; son, Alvin Friedrichs, Jr.; grandson, Joshua Wayne Friedrichs; parents; sisters, Elvira Behrens, Virginia Vandeventer and Laurine Ullrich; brothers, Monroe and William Engelhardt, Jr. and Elmer Engelhardt. Clydell is survived by her daughter, Sandra Friedrich; sister, Thelma Joslin; grandchildren, Danny Nichols (Faith), DeAnna Rathje (Matthew), Natalie Leal (Coy), and Christopher Friedrichs (Ashlie); great-grandchildren, Joshua Nichols, Jerod Nichols, Peyton Soderstrom, Landon Rathje, Teagan Rathje, Abigail Packenius, Ava Leal, Case Leal, Preston Friedrichs, Brodie Friedrichs, and Kenleigh Friedrichs; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. A visitation will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.
