Esther Marie Martinez
Esther Marie Martinez, age 57, of Smiley, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Seguin. She was born March 8, 1960 in Nixon, Texas to Fidel D. Martinez and Felisitas (Pastrano) Martinez. She was preceded in death by her parents. Esther is survived by her sisters: Martha Serbin and husband Jesse, Julia Palacios and husband Ben, Rachel Salazar and husband Nemesio, Beatrice Sistos; her brothers: Jesse E. Martinez and wife Sylvia, Alex Martinez and wife Marisol; aunts: Felisa Moreno, Lupe Martinez, Ramona Flores, Lucia Mosqueda; nieces and nephews: Priscilla, Johnny Jr., Bryan, Alisha, Stephen, Nathaniel, Joey, Adam, Isaiah, Patrick, Rita, Adrienne, Braden, Easton; great-nieces and great-nephews: Christa, Joshua, Avery, Bryson, Bianca, Zoielove; as well as other loving family and many friends.

A Visitation will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon with a Rosary recited at 6:30 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Philip Catholic Church in Smiley with Father Ouseph Kuriakose officiating. Interment will follow in the Smiley Latin American Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made by way of mass cards.
