Obituary for Helen Pauline Jendrzey (Migura)

Helen Pauline Jendrzey, 91, of Yorktown, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in Yorktown. She was born October 8, 1925 in Yorktown to Philip and Agnes Migura. She married Lawrence Jendrzey on January 21, 1946 in Yorktown. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She graduated from Yorktown High School, then worked for a time in San Antonio, before returning to Yorktown to marry Lawrence when he returned from his time in the Navy during World War II. She will always be remembered for her smiling service during her many years at Yorktown Bakery. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Gayle Jendrzey, and brother, Justin Migura. Her survivors include her daughters, Christine Blaschke and husband Stephen of Yorktown and Linda Bomba and husband Patrick of Yorktown; sons, Michael Jendrzey and wife Doris Phyle of Leander, Joseph Jendrzey of Yorktown and William “Billy” Jendrzey and friend Rhonda Griffin of Victoria; grandchildren, Kendra Keith (James), Shea Blaschke (Tiffanie), Calli Blaschke (Cameron, fiancé) Mason Blaschke, Michelle Hoefling (Bryan), Scott Jendrzey (Jessica), Kim Smetters (Jason), Jeffrey Jendrzey and Jennifer Johnson (Caden); great-grandchildren, Kipton Keith, Kyler Keith, Braxten Blaschke, Ally Hoefling, Taylor Hoefling, Davin Smetters, Aivah Smetters, Gage Jendrzey and Somie Johnson; sister, Angela Schroeder (Henry) of Victoria. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Mary Emma Garcia and Christine Johnson. A visitation will take place Friday, April 7, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with a Rosary Vigil recited at 7:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel of Yorktown.

Holy Cross Catholic Church, Yorktown

Father Roger Hawes will officiate at the Mass. Interment will follow in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery of Yorktown. Those serving as pallbearers will be Scott Jendrzey, Jeffrey Jendrzey, Shea Blaschke, Mason Blaschke, Jason Smetters, Caden Johnson, Bryan Hoefling and James Keith. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Helen’s name to Holy Cross Catholic Church of Yorktown or the Yorktown EMS.
