Sid Glover passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 in San Antonio at the age of 88. Sid was born on April 9, 1928 to Ernest Malcolm Glover, Sr. and Alma (Overton) Glover in Jim Wells County, Texas. On September 19, 1998, Sid married Delia Carcallas in San Antonio. Sid served his country in the United States Army and made a career of civil service. He retired after 29 years of faithful service to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force Civil Service. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ernest Glover, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Delia; nieces, Nancy Lyles and Florible Faith Rodriguez; cousin, Ann Bayles; mother-in-law, Natalia Carcallas; sisters-in-law, Dori Villaflores, Dudith Ambrad and Diabel Rodriguez; and extended family, Venice and Mitchell Bridgeman, Candice Y. Willis, Sherlyn Norton, and Eppie Vallespin. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas. The Rosary will be prayed at 7:00pm.
