Mark Edward “Paw Paw” Billings, age 56, of Leesville, passed away December 4, 2016. He was born August 15, 1960 to Fred H. and Jolyne Mergele Billings. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jolyne Billings, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Betty Partridge. Mark was an Ag Teacher in the Nixon-Smiley C.I.S.D. and a rancher. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration in 1984 and his Master of Science Agriculture in 1992, both from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Kay Partridge Billings of Leesville; a son, Brandon Hamm and wife Deanna of Leesville; two grandsons: Frank Hamm and Harold Hamm; his siblings: Marci Pierce and husband Leroy, Mike Billings and wife Jeannette, JoBeth Davis and husband Bill; his father, Fred Billings and wife Judy; his brother-in-law, John Partridge and wife Julie; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as other loving family and many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Nixon. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nixon-Smiley Education Foundation, 800 N. Ranch Road, Nixon, TX 78140, or to the Leesville Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 256, Leesville, TX 78122.
