Obituary for Clarence V. Elley

Clarence V. Elley, age 82, of LaVernia, Texas passed away on October 20, 2013. He was born on July 19, 1931 in Guadalupe County, Texas to Alvin Elley and Adelia (Meyers) Elley. He retired from Lone Star Brewery after 40 years, served on the Sutherland Springs Water Board for 15 years, worked with septic system and EarthWork business for many years. Clarence loved to farm. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Faye Bell Elley. Clarence is survived by his daughters, Cindy Lee Preacher and husband Roger, Sandra Ann McCraw and husband Greg; sons, Clarence V. Elley Jr. and wife Sue, Joseph P. Elley; grandchildren, Larry “Tommy” Daniels, Serena Hooper, Christina Seed, Clarence V. “Trey” Elley III, Blaine Elley, Dustin McCraw, Clint McCraw; great grandchildren, Colin Daniels, Annica Daniels, Chole Daniels, Vanessa Osborn, Samray Hooper, Paydon Hooper, Sierra Seed, Charlie Seed, Collin McCraw, Sophia McCraw; brother, Gussie Elley; sisters, Dortha Dotson, Della Arbuckle; numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends. He never met a stranger and loved all people. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Finch Funeral Chapel in LaVernia.
